Basic Controls:

The basic movement is handled with either the “Left” and “Right” arrow keys or the “A” and “D” keys on your keyboard. In order to switch between gadgets, press the “Q” to move the selection cursor left or “E” to move the selection cursor to the right. If you hit “E” on the rightmost item in your hotbar, then it will wrap around to the leftmost item, and vice-versa.

How Each Gadget Works:

  • Super-Spring
    • Description: Because of Robin’s physical limitations, Robin is unable to jump and must rely on his Super-Spring gadget to reach higher platforms and cross wide chasms. The Super-Spring is a stationary item that acts as a trampoline.
    • How To Use: With the Super-Spring selected, face the direction you want the spring to be placed in front of you and press the Spacebar. Run into it, and you will be flung high into the air. You cannot pick your spring back up, so place it wisely! Beware of porcupines; they can jump on your springs, too!

  • Extendo-Plank
    • Description: Another one of Robin’s main gadgets, the Extendo-Plank can be used to bridge large gaps and block dangerous spikes that would otherwise impede on your ability to progress through levels. Like the Super-Spring, the Extendo-Plank cannot be picked up, so be sure to think twice before using them.
    • How To Use: In order to use this gadget, be sure to have the Extendo-Plank gadget selected in the toolbar. After selecting the gadget, face the direction that you want to place the Extendo-Plank and press the Space key. The plank will fall down, allowing you to cross the gap.

  • Electro-Magnet
    • Description: The Electro-Magnet is used to pull in metallic objects towards Robin. Allows you to pull in metal blocks in levels towards you, which are light-gray purple colored with a metallic sheen.
    • How To Use: The Electro-Magnet must first be selected in the “ToolBar” before it can be used. This item is not placed physically. On use, it fires a ray directly in front of you. If this ray hits a metallic object, then the object will be flung towards you.
  • Freeze-Ray
    • Description: Use this gadget to freeze enemies in place, in order to create new platforms that can be used to traverse further up the mountain. You have a limited number of shots so use them sparingly.
    • How To Use: Have the Freeze-Ray gadget selected in the toolbar. Face the direction of your enemy and press the space button to fire a shot. If you land the shot, then the enemy will be frozen in place. You can place gadgets on top of these frozen enemies.

  • Enemy Types:

    • Porcupine
      • One of the most common enemies that you will encounter on your journey up the mountain. These fierce creatures will patrol their respective areas, moving back and forth in a constant march blocking Robin from going through. These enemies can either be bounced away using the Super-Spring or frozen in place with the Freeze-Ray.

    • Raven
      • The second type of enemy that Robin will need to face. The Raven dominates the sky, making it difficult for Robin to reach higher platforms. In order to handle them, Robin must use the Freeze-Ray to freeze them in place.
